	MATT ANODISING
Matt Anodising is the most common form of anodising. The aluminium is processed through etching and desmut stages, then anodised. Anodising is an electrochemical process where the naturally occurring oxide film is extended and deepened to form a tough surface layer. The thickness of the layer, which determines how well it can withstand harsh environmental conditions, is measured in microns and is formed as a lattice of pores. The longer the work is in the anodising tank the deeper the anodised layer becomes - typically; 12 microns or 25 microns. If a natural (silver) aluminium colour is required, the product does not require colouring and proceeds directly to the sealing process to close surface pores. Dye processing and Electrolytic processing are available to achieve your colour finish requirements. NATURAL MATT FINISHES   *   Tank Capacity: 6500 x 1300 x 450
		* No dye or electrolytic colouring required
 PROCESS
1      Initial anodising process creates aluminium oxide surface pores
2      Pores absorb dye when submerged in special dye bath
3      Submerge aluminium product in sealing tank to close the pores and seal in the colour
 PROCESS
1      Initial anodising process creates aluminium oxide surface pores
2      Tiny deposits of chemical solution fill the open pores by submerging the product in a special chemical bath. The longer the submerging time the more colour particles captured, resulting in shades varying from champagne to black.
